About Joel
Hi I'm Joel, a Journalism & Marketing undergraduate at Curtin University Singapore, born and raised in Singapore.

I am passionate about the technical aspect of show and media production, while also displaying a keen interest in journalistic work.
I too have a passion for the sports industry, with great experience in the sports scene in Singapore. As such, I am seeking opportunities in the sports media production and journalism industry.
I have previous internship experience at Christ Methodist Church as an Audio Visual Intern, while still being involved on a weekly basis in the management and operation of the Audio Visual equipment required for services, in the capacity of the Service Team Head. To further this interest in media production, I currently host and produce a Singaporean current affairs podcast called "The Singapod", where we analyse how international and local events affect the average Singaporean, covering topics including mental health and food security in Singapore.

My passion for sports came to be from participating in numerous sports at a high, competitive, level, even representing Singapore in rugby at a national age group level. I enjoy playing golf, tennis and football at the recreational level. My interest goes beyond the Xs and Os of sports, as I am an avid reader of sports history and digging out insights of many games.
I am passionate about community engagement and overseas causes as well, serving in multiple non-profit organisations on a weekly basis by providing tuition to children from low income families, while also helping with food distribution. I have also been on 12 overseas mission trips with my church, to countries which include Cambodia, Myanmar and Nepal.

I'm looking forward to connecting with you!

God bless,
Joel
